Volunteers play an essential role in making our leisure clubs lively and inclusive, helping members enjoy activities such as cooking, bingo, dancing, sports, and our end-of-month discos. Support is needed for a variety of tasks, including assisting with setting up spaces, serving refreshments, leading or joining in with activities, and providing general encouragement and support to all participants, as our programme varies from week to week. Enthusiasm, kindness, and reliability are valued qualities, helping to create a welcoming, fun environment for people of all abilities.
Experience working with service users with learning difficulties, be kind and sympathetic and willing to use their own initiative. Have an interest in crafts / movement / cooking / dancing and having fun with the service users.
We can provide training at the sessions as they take place.
