Donate to Ukraine Crisis Appeal
On 6th June 2023 the Nova Kakhovka dam on the Dnipro river collapsed. In some areas water has risen by 8m and over 16,000 people have been impacted. Alongside local emergency services, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers evacuated over 2,198 people within the first few days. Now, access to clean water is one of the region’s primary needs as an estimated 100,000 tonnes of drinking water will be needed every day. Ukrainian Red Cross teams are supporting people with essentials such as food, water, hygiene and sleeping kits, and reuniting families who have been separated.
