BVA have partnered with Community Action Suffolk (CAS) to provide an Organisation HealthCheck Tool for Charities and Not for Profit Organisations within the Borough of Basingstoke and Deane. The tool is free and encourages an organisation to self-assess against the areas of Governance, Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Health and Wellbeing to get an idea of how effectively your organisation is operating and being governed. The Guidance document will assist an organisation to decide upon a RAG status for each individual area and then identify areas that need to be addressed so that an action plan can be created.

This is a way of getting everyone within your organisation involved, contributing and keeping up to date with your organisations policies and procedures. If you are going to apply for a Grant from fund providers they may want to check your health status as part of the application process to determine if you are a safe, well-run provider of services.
