Do you enjoy gardening and want to make a meaningful difference in someone’s day?
We’re looking for a friendly Volunteer Gardener to support a small group of residents in maintaining and developing their garden. We already have a professional gardener who visits every three weeks for grass and hedge maintenance, but we’d love someone who can bring life to the flower beds, vegetable patch, and borders — with the help of residents who are interested in getting involved.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Time Commitment:
Personal experience tending to a residential garden. No qualifications required
Training
We offer two days of volunteer training to support volunteers in their role alongside our service users. This covers introductions into mental health, substance misuse, boundaries, safeguarding, and how SSJ approaches support. We also offer an extensive range of other training opportunities depending on the interests of the volunteer.
