We are looking for a Treasurer to administer or manage the financial assets and liabilities of the charity under the direction of the Committee.
RESPONISIBILITIES
1. Keep a record of income and expenditure and prepare an annual statement of accounts for the Annual General Meeting. Have accounts audited.
2. Receive and pay invoices for utilities, services, maintenance and equipment.
3. Arrange for insurance of the Halls and land associated.
4. Inform Committee of investment of savings and arrange transfers.
5. Liaise with Lettings Secretary on receipt of hiring fees and return of deposits.
6. Reconcile monthly bank statement.
7. Report financial position of the charity to the Committee at its regular meeting.
8. Negotiate contracts for utilities.
9. Administer the Halls’ cleaning contract.
10. Set up and amend Standing Orders for staff wages.
We are looking for a well-organised individual who is able to work on their own initiative and who enjoys dealing with people by telephone and in person.

Committee meetings are on the second Thursday of the month (except August) at 8pm and generally last no more than an hour.
