Friendship Group Support Volunteer

This friendly group meet on a Thursday afternoon from 2.00pm until 4.00pm every week at Holdshott Farm in Heckfield for a hot drink and a chat and are looking for support from a regular volunteer to help run the sessions. The group runs a range of activities including craft sessions; IT help/education; and several of the existing volunteers are trained to support guests with making referrals to the Citizen Advice. 

Volunteers will be:

• Welcoming members at each session
• Supporting members to join in 
• Guiding visitors on where facilities are located 
• Helping with set up and tidying away after each session.

What skills do I need?

Volunteers will ideally:

• Be confident and happy to talk to members and visitors
• Possess a responsible and sensitive manner
• Show a willingness to get involved in many different tasks and 'muck in'
• Be 18 or older
• Respect confidentiality when required
