All evenings are fun where the young people do a variety of activities, including playing many different games, learning Scouting skills such as how to put up a tent or how to light a fire, and do all sorts of other things like model making or finding out about other cultures. You do not need to have previous Scouting experience as there are courses and other sources freely available to you where you can pick up any skills or knowledge you need.

All of these roles will involve you being part of a team. The roles described are uniformed roles as part of the Scout Association, and volunteers are required to complete a small number of training modules. These focus on child protection, safeguarding and first aid, to ensure the welfare of all young people within Scouting. All volunteers will also need to be DBS checked.
