If you are passionate about supporting bereaved people, we’d love to hear from you. We provide support to thousands of bereaved people every year. For many this will be the first time they have asked for help with their grief.
As a Bereavement Volunteer with Cruse, you’ll be part of a supportive community offering empathetic, person-centred, and non-judgemental emotional support to those grieving. Most interactions occur via phone or Zoom. Due to high demand for training, volunteers are expected to be committed and ready to begin supporting clients promptly. Opportunities vary by location.
Volunteers must be able to:
| Slot | Mon | Tue | Wed | Thu | Fri | Sat | Sun |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Morning | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Afternoon | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | No |
| Evening | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | No |
Volunteers can support services users 9am – 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 2pm Saturday
This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
