The volunteers at each Group should work as a team and share tasks, such as, tea/coffee making, being involved in quizzes and games, setting up and clearing away. Chatting to members and their visit is warm and welcoming.

Volunteers should also be willing to help on occasional outings to Garden Centres, Christmas lunches etc

What skills do I need?

No formal qualifications required but volunteers should be:

· Friendly and helpful

· Adaptable and open to change

· Able to work as part of a team

· Able to recognise the needs of older people and the challenges and difficulties they face
