Our Warren Youth Club is on a Friday evening between 6pm and 7.45 pm during term time for age 10+. The club is very well attended by the local youngsters and is highly dependant on the help of volunteers.

As a volunteer you will be supporting the Youth Manager and youth workers deliver engaging and varied youth sessions. You will be running fun activities, selling tuck, playing games (pool, board games and sports) Our creative activities may be more your thing, we run arts, crafts and music sessions. If you are sporty, you may want to assist with outdoor games and sport activities.

You will be there to provide a supportive caring environment which may require you to be a good listener and a role model to our young clients.

No previous experience is necessary and you don't have to be involved in everything.

This role is a great way to give back to the local community and very rewarding.

What skills do I need?

You need to have enthusiasm and a genuine interest in supporting young people. You will have the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with the youngsters.

16+ have a friendly approachable manner and a willingness to get involved in a wide range of activities.

You will need to be reliable and work well in a team. Being DBS checked is an advantage but not essential, anyone without a DBS check will be chaperoned by someone who has at all times.

This role will develop your communication skills, team work and leadership skills. You will become part of a fun, welcoming and supportive volunteer team.
