Help bring two of Yateley’s best-loved community festivals to life. As a Festival Volunteer, you’ll be part of the friendly team that helps make the event run smoothly and gives visitors a great day out. Tasks can include setting up before the event, greeting visitors, helping with stalls and activity areas, supporting traders or performers, checking wristbands or tickets, keeping the site tidy, answering questions, and helping pack down at the end.
There are usually a range of roles available, so you do not need specific experience, just a positive attitude and willingness to muck in. This is a great way to support your local community, meet new people, and play a part in events that help raise funds for local sports and community facilities.
No formal qualifications are required. We are mainly looking for friendly, reliable people who are willing to help and work as part of a team. Useful qualities include good communication skills, a positive attitude, common sense, and a willingness to get involved.
Some roles may suit people who are confident speaking to the public, helping with practical tasks, or staying calm in a busy event environment, but full guidance will be given. We welcome volunteers with a range of experience levels. The most important thing is being dependable, approachable, and keen to support a successful community event.
