Hart's Countryside Service is seeking keen volunteers who are interested in taking part in practical management tasks on countryside sites.
As a practical management volunteer you will spend time outdoors learning how and why our sites are managed, whilst developing new practical habitat management skills. It is a great opportunity to explore what’s on your doorstep and meet new people. The majority of this work is physical, for example cutting down invasive plants, scrub management and gorse. Volunteers at all levels of fitness are encouraged to join us, you can stay for as long as you wish and work at your own pace.
Your contribution will be invaluable in helping us to maintain a mosaic of habitats across the district. Without this management, some of the species that you will see on site would disappear completely.
