A chance to help shape the 28th Odiham Scouts (no camping required) - We are looking for someone to take on one of the most important roles in our Group, and it might suit you better than you would expect.
Being a Trustee this is not a role that asks you to be at section meetings week in, week out. You do not need any Scouting background. The Trustee Board is the small team that looks after the running of the Group as a charity, which means finances, our building, safety, and making sure the leaders have what they need to give the young people a great programme. The Board meets around four to six times a year. The Chair guides those meetings, sets the agenda, chairs our annual general meeting, and helps bring new trustees on board.
If you have ever run a team, managed a budget, sat on a committee, or simply want to put something back into the community, you already have what this role needs. It is a genuine way to be involved in Scouting through governance rather than gluing badges on a Friday night, and a good way to connect with the wider community while you are at it. We also have some meaningful decisions ahead of us as a Group, so this is a moment where steady, capable Trustees can make a real difference.
