If you are compassionate and like helping and meeting people, then this could be the role for you. Volunteers like you support people with day to day tasks and help to build their confidence so that they can continue to live independently in their own home.

 What you will be doing

  • Visit people in their home.
  • Give companionship, including relieving a carer or relative for a short time.
  • Support with shopping and collecting prescriptions.
  • Help people to get to medical appointments.
  • Keep records of tasks.

We would like you to:

  • Be available to volunteer on a regular basis.
  • Be able to volunteer for a minimum of 2-3 hours per week. (The service operates between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday)
  • Live within 10 miles of Basingstoke.
  • Hold a driving licence that allows you to drive in the UK and have access to your own vehicle.
  • Be able to commit to volunteering for a minimum of 12 months.

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. Applicants will be asked to provide ID documents in support of the DBS check

Full training will be given, this is a mix of online and in person training.
