Little time on your hands? Working from home or maybe recently retired? Then why not give volunteer driving a go?
Currently our need for drivers is higher than ever, as the NHS is making a great effort to clear the waiting lists created by the coronavirus and the lockdowns. As things hopefully return to the 'new normal' we are seeing increasing numbers of elderly residents, living in Fleet and Church Crookham, needing to attend routine appointments and we are therefore looking to grow our pool of drivers.
Could you join our driving team?
Using your own car, volunteers choose when and where they volunteer, from weekly to just once a month; you can drive short trips to local surgeries or longer journeys to hospitals - the choice is yours! Expenses for mileage are paid.
Please note that, due to the nature of our scheme, it is a pre-requisite that all our volunteers live within the Fleet, Church Crookham, Crookham Village or Dogmersfield area.
Caring, common sense approach required - you should enjoy working with older people.
You do not need a 'clean' driving licence - 3 points is acceptable.
Knowledge of the local area is beneficial - but if you have a Sat Nav - perfect!
