Are you a confident swimmer? Would you like to help teach a fundamental life skill to children?
Volunteers are the backbone of Rushmoor Youth Swimming! We are looking for more volunteers to assist with the teaching of swimming - the role will depend on your swimming qualification. Volunteers are encouraged to gain a full swimming teacher qualification and course fees can be refunded subject to continued regular attendance.
At Rushmoor Youth Swimming, we are passionate about ensuring that children learn to be safe in and around the water. We teach to the International Water Safety Scheme (ILSP) to a competent swimmer level "Shark 3" then use the STA Water Safety awards, Bronze Silver & Gold to enhance personal survival in water.
We can also take on enthusiastic young people (age 14+) who would like to volunteer who can commit to this role for at least 12 months. This could be part of a Duke of Edinburgh award or an individual who is keen to gain experience in teaching swimming.
