The Camrose Centre, Basingstoke Volunteer role
Camrose has been operating as Basingstoke’s only day centre for homeless people since 2008. We are supported by generous and faithful individuals and communities across our borough and beyond.
We are entering a new phase of growth. We are now open six days a week, supporting people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, social exclusion and poverty with warmth, food, friendship, practical advice and a calm, safe space. As one client told us, “You have been an absolute lifeline for me.”
The Camrose Centre are seeking a confident, experienced and strategically minded Chair to lead our Board through this next chapter. Someone who brings charity governance experience, visible leadership, and the ability to mobilise trustees, volunteers and partners behind a shared strategic direction.
This is a role for a leader who can combine humanity with rigour; someone who understands that small charities thrive when governance is strong, relationships are nurtured, and strategic projects are delivered with discipline.
