The BDBC Strengthening Communities Grant Scheme is back for its fourth year, and opened for applications on the 10th March.

The Strengthening Communities Grant Scheme provides funding to eligible community and voluntary sector organisations of up to £15,000 for organisational and service development so they can deliver the services our residents need now and in the future. This money is to be spent between 1st June 2025 and 31st May 2026.

Your application will need to demonstrate how the funding will support us to deliver against the priorities outlined in our council plan 2023 to
2027:

  • for a place where people can have pride in their communities and the borough
  • for a borough where we protect, restore, reconnect and enhance our natural environment
  • for a council that delivers high-quality services for our residents

and how the funding will improve your organisation’s ability to deliver the services our residents need now and in the future.

Please note that this funding can not be used to make capital purchases

Applicants will also need to demonstrate that there is a community need for what they are seeking to achieve with this funding and have defined impact and outcome goals that progress can be measured against.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on 23rd April 2025.  Details can be found on the BDBC web site at Strengthening Communities Grant scheme (basingstoke.gov.uk)

There will be a presentation given on the scheme at BVA Meet the Funder on 24/03/25 –  Strengthening Communities Grant Scheme Meet The Funder
