The Macular Society is dedicated to helping those
living with a macular condition, and sight loss. We are looking for a volunteer
to help co-ordinate the running of the Fleet Macular Society group. The group
meet on a monthly basis, and are often joined by fantastic guest speakers, who
can share information on local charities, useful technology, and other services
available within the community. We are looking for someone to set up and run
these social meetings, whilst helping with other tasks, such as: booking
speakers, organising social activities, and act as a contact for the meeting
venue. You will be fully supported by the regional manager, Tyler, who will be
there to guide you. You don’t need to have a macular condition nor sight loss;
empathy and an understanding of its impact will help you to provide the best
support. If you get a buzz from
helping others then this role is perfect for you.
For this position, a friendly attitude and good listening skills would be ideal! We will offer training sessions to help with this role.
