Fleet Community Pantry Volunteers

For Hart Foodbank

Working alongside Hart Foodbank to provide the community of Fleet with support for those most in need, the community pantry is a source of food, advice and education to help people help themselves, a hub at the heart of our community and led by our community.

We are now looking for volunteers to help support us in the following roles:

Donation Collectors
Pantry Welcome and Support - Greeting people, being a listening ear and signposting people for additional support where needed.
Stock Processing - This role will involve food hygiene and safe handling of goods and ensuring we are rotating the stock correctly and removing any food that is spoiled or past its "use by" date.

What skills do I need?

Friendly
Non-judgmental
Donation Collectors must have their own transport transport as locations are from Hart and the surrounding area.
Pantry Welcome and Support volunteers would ideally have some experience in customer service. Will also need to have an awareness of basic food hygiene, or be willing to learn.

Availability Details

The pantry will be open Monday afternoons 13:30-15:00 and Thursday mornings 11:00-12:30. Stock work will be done on the Monday morning, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. Donation collections are currently Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. We hope to add more pick ups in the near future.
