As a Collection Box Coordinator, you will be involved in displaying our iconic collection boxes in your local community to help raise funds for Guide Dogs. This is a community-based role where you look for places to display our collection boxes, liaising with local businesses to encourage them to display the boxes, emptying and banking the funds from the collection boxes.

The main tasks are:

  • Identify and place collection boxes in suitable locations, moving them when needed and keeping track of where your boxes are located.
  • Empty boxes every 3 to 6 months and banking the income.
  • Talk to people about how the boxes support Guide Dogs.
  • Thank venues for agreeing to have boxes placed and for the donations received as a result.

We ask for the name, address, email and phone number of two people who can give you a personal reference. They need to have known you for at least two years, not be family members and not live at the same address. Volunteering for Guide Dogs should never leave you out of pocket. We’ll make sure we pay any expenses related to your volunteering with us in line with our policy.

  • Be willing to talk to people about Guide Dogs.
