Worried about money? A new resource for residents in Basingstoke and Deane

A new online resource is now available to help residents across Basingstoke and Deane access practical support with money worries and financial challenges.

The Worrying About Money? guide has been developed to provide clear, step-by-step information on the help available locally. Whether someone is struggling with day-to-day living costs, debt, benefits, housing expenses or an unexpected financial crisis, the resource signposts users to trusted organisations that can offer advice and support. The guide focuses on helping people maximise their income, access available entitlements and find the right assistance as early as possible.

Created by the Independent Food Aid Network (IFAN) in partnership with local authorities and support organisations across Hampshire, the resource forms part of a wider initiative to help residents build financial resilience and access support before problems escalate. It includes information on council support schemes, debt advice, hardship payments and a range of local and national support services. The guide is available in an easy-to-use online format, making it simple for residents, volunteers and support workers to quickly find relevant advice and assistance.
