Please welcome our new Orchard Receptionist, Jane. The BVA team are delighted to have her on board! Recently, we asked Jane for a few words on her experience so far working at the Orchard. Here is what she had to say:
What it’s Like at BVA for the New Girl in Reception
The first thing to say is what a lovely environment it is here at The Orchard. The building is beautiful, light and airy and all the many and varied people who work here are lovely. At Reception, it has been a challenge for me learning everyone’s names and I am not there yet but bear with me. I am just loving all the meeting and greeting and getting to know you all. I have also had to grapple with a new CRM system and improve rusty computer skills, but I believe that I have made some progress from when I started, although, fair enough, not all of you may agree with this assessment. Thank you to everyone for your welcome and all your patience and willingness to share your knowledge.
I arrived in good time for the 20th Anniversary celebrations which were a great introduction for me as to what BVA, the Residents, and Volunteers do here in Basingstoke and further afield, and the Atrium looked lovely. It was a wonderful networking opportunity. I am looking forward to the Christmas festivities coming up soon.
Thank you to everyone, especially Jo Shea, BVA’s Operations Manager, for your warm welcome and all your patience and willingness to share your knowledge.
