This half day course is being run by MCG Training who specialise in Health & Safety. The course will be suitable for anyone who is responsible for H&S within an organisation or carries out risk assessments.

-Key terms eg. hazard, risk, near miss, accident etc
-The 23 common hazards at work
-Hierarchy of risk control
-How to write a risk assessment
-When you need to review your risk assessments
-What is a dynamic risk assessment?
2) Manual Handling
-The law and responsibilities
-Potential injuries
-Safe moving principles
-Practical session – warm-up, lifting, stretching
3) Display Screen Equipment (DSE)
-Risks to health of poor DSE safety provision
-How to assess an employee’s workstation
-What to do if an employee sustains injury from using their workstation
-How to help people who work from home
