Mobility aid Hire. We provide mobility aids for town centre use, holidays and home use. Shopmobility is part funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, although we do need to make a small charge to help to cover costs.
As well as hiring equipment for access around the town, we offer long term hire for holidays, days out or use at home. This includes lightweight wheelchairs and scooters ideally suited for lifting and packing in vehicles. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and prices.
About ShopMobility Basingstoke
We supply mobility equipment for use in the town centre, holidays and home use. ShopMobility UK is a nationwide network of centres which hire out mobility equipment to the public. This equipment is mainly manual wheelchairs, powerchairs and mobility scooters so people with restricted mobility can enjoy independence outdoors. These hire services are low cost or sometimes free to all ages of people looking to access shops and leisure facilities.
ShopMobility centres only provide reliable and comfortable products that ensure confidence and peace of mind. If walking longer distances is a problem or spending time outdoors with friends and family is challenging, ShopMobility UK can help.
Cost Information
Registration £8.00 for 12 months – this entitles you to use not only our facilities but all of those in the Wessex Group.
Hire Fee £5.00 per day or part thereof (Travel Scooters £7.00 per 24hr/day) Walking Frames £3.00 per day.
If you would rather not register you can use the Casual User option charged at £9.00 per day
