To relieve either generally or individually persons resident in the area of benefit who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress. If and in so far as income in any year is not required for application in manner aforesaid the trustees may apply the same as it thinks fit for any charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the area of the ancient parish of Tadley.
