About Hampshire Search and Rescue (HANTSAR)
Hampshire Search and Rescue (HANTSAR) is a voluntary organisation which works alongside the police in searches for vulnerable missing persons in Hampshire. HANTSAR is one of many county based Lowland Search and Rescue units which exist countrywide. Like other units in the country we are affiliated to Lowland Rescue (Association of Lowland Search and Rescue) which forms part of the UK Search and Rescue Operators Group alongside Mountain Rescue and other organisations.We are urgently looking to recruit more members for both our search and supporter teams and are especially keen on hearing from people who are available during office hours. HANTSAR is a registered charity raising its own funds to provide search and rescue services throughout Hampshire and receives no external funding.
