About
BCS aims to provide, to audiences and members alike, the opportunity to experience high quality performances of classical and choral music. BCS is 170 strong and draws its volunteer members from North-East Hampshire area. It is led by a professional Musical Director, David Gibson, and its patron is the Countess of Portsmouth.
BCS is committed to a policy of performing with professional orchestras and soloists. In this way, it provides choral concerts of a quality that is comparable with events of a higher profile. BCS prides itself on having a reputation for performing a wide repertoire of standard and less well-known choral works, however it is conscious of the need to present programmes that have box office appeal.
Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 8.00pm. Rehearsals on Wednesday evening 7.30pm at the Vyne School. 2 concerts a year at the Anvil, and occasionally others at e.g. Douai Abbey
