BNC was established in 2006 with the following in mind: To provide support and to promote better understanding among the Nepalese residents living within Basingstoke. To encourage social contacts among Nepalese residents within borough as well as with other communities through social, religious, cultural and educational activities. To establish a link and to be an expert voice of and for Nepalese residents of Basingstoke by lobbying, campaigning and through consultation and partnership with any appropriate body both locally and nationally.Setting up a Nepali Youth Forum; Nepali Elderly Forum; Social and Cultural Events; Language Assistance (In case of emergencies); Any advice on Nepali issues for frontline professionals; Translation Service (Small service charge involved)There are now nearly 400 Nepalese families living in Basingstoke & Deane
