Kala The Arts is inviting local people with a passion and some spare time to give back by joining our Board of Trustees.

For more than 26 years, Kala The Arts has been a grassroots charity based in Basingstoke, using South Asian dance and the visual arts to bring communities together. We curate, deliver workshops in schools, community classes, festivals, performances and creative projects that involve and inspire people of all ages, improve wellbeing and celebrate cultural diversity. From local community events to nationally recognised programmes, our work starts right here in Basingstoke and makes a lasting difference and impact.

As a Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in helping shape the charity’s future. Working alongside an experienced and friendly Board, you’ll help with the bold the strategic direction, ensure good governance, oversee finances and support the leadership team as the organisation continues to grow. Previous trustee experience isn’t essential – we’re looking for people with interest in community development, arts and culture positive and forward thinking and a commitment to our community.

Becoming a Trustee is an opportunity to develop new skills, broaden your professional experience, expand your network and make a meaningful impact on the lives of local people through the arts.
