Citizens Advice Basingstoke
Citizens Advice Basingstoke, founded in 1961, is a local independent charity and a member of the national association of Citizens Advice. In 2020 we won the Basingstoke Place to be Proud Charity of the year and also named as unsung heroes in the COVID19 Hero Award. In 2021 we were nominated and won the Inspire Business Employer of the Year Award. We are a friendly team of both volunteers and staff who support the local community by providing free, independent and impartial advice to individuals and families in need.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Advice Session Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Advice Services Manager, you will oversee the daily delivery of our advice services to our clients through email, telephone Adviceline and face to face service. You will be passionate about giving an effective service to people in need, have excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and manage people, and be able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
The ideal candidate will have Citizens Advice experience, but we would consider individuals from other backgrounds who have experience in an advice-giving capacity and supervision.
Terms of Appointment
Working hours will be 15 hours per week
Holiday allocation is 33 days per annum inclusive of Bank Holidays (pro rata)
