Basingstoke Voluntary Action, supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and working with Locality and Tulba Consulting Limited, has prepared a short survey.
We are looking for voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations in the borough to fill in this survey. Please note, we are not collecting personal data but general information about your organisation, where you work and who you support. The information gathered will be collated and shared with BVA and BDBC to help understand the scale, scope and reach of the voluntary and community sector across the borough.
We are responding to feedback we have received and are extending the survey window to Friday 26th July. Your time is important to us and, to thank you, all respondents will be entered into a prize draw for five winners to get one free place on a training session from the BVA training programme. (If you have already completed the survey your organisation will automatically be entered into the draw.)
1) Basic financial information from your accounts for the last full financial year, including income and expenditure, whether you made a profit or loss and approximate percentage breakdown between grants, donations and trading income. Your treasurer will be able to help you with these figures
2) The areas you work in. If you are unsure please take a look at the current map of ward and parish boundaries for Basingstoke and Deane – https://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/boundaries
We also want to say that no questions are compulsory; but the more information you are able to provide, the more helpful it is and understanding the reach and impact of the sector. If there are any questions you can’t or don’t want to answer – please don’t give up with the survey – but just skip the question and continue with the rest of the survey.
