Virtual Volunteering Fair
Date: 25th to 28th January 2021
We are intending to run a Virtual Volunteering Fair at the end of January to give groups an opportunity to promote the fantastic work of your good cause, the responsibilities that volunteers take on within it, and the specific volunteering roles that you are or will be looking to fill.
The fair will run similar to what was produced for the #BDBigThankYou day in August. You could decide to make a video, interview a volunteer about what they do (filmed or written), send photos or a presentation, or ask one of your volunteers to do something. It will be your platform to raise the awareness of how people can contribute to your good works through volunteering. The choice is yours.
They will have to be things that we can get on a web site, but otherwise the only things holding you back would be your imagination and our technical ability!
The Fair will run over the week of the 25th to the 29th of January, but to allow us to build it we would need your contributions by the 15th of January. If you are interested in participating (and have not already contacted us) please email contact@bvaction.org.uk
Cyber Security for Charities
Dates: 9th February 2021 and 11th February 2021

Do you know how to protect your organisation against a cyber-attack? Have you thought about the risks to your charity if you were hacked, phished or your online presence was attacked?
NAVCA and the NCSC have created an awareness session about how to protect your organisation and understand more about what cyber security means to you.
The course is split across 2 x 1 hour sessions across 2 separate days.

Effective Use of Social Media for Not for Profit Organisations
Dates: 18th February 2021
Time: 1 pm
In this one-hour session we will look at the basics of marketing & how to best utilise your social media channels.
This session is intended for those with an already established understanding of their social media who would like to learn the next steps in boosting their engagement
