The Foundation offers grants to support people of all ages living on low incomes who have a physical and/or mental disability or long term illness. During the COVID-19 crisis they are focusing on smaller charities providing front line community services.
To help VCS organisations based in England continue to provide mental health services – or provide additional support – organisations can apply for a Coronavirus Mental Health Response Fund (CMHRF) grant of £20,000 or £50,000 which are available for projects lasting up to 12 months.The Fund will pause for applications at 5pm on 13 May 2020.
The Trust works with community based organisations that works directly with older people to provide extra support to make their daily life easier. They offer two grant schemes, one based around projects, and the other around buildings and physical infrastructure. The schemes are currently closed. (@01/10/19). Check their site for reopening.
Caudwell Children provide family support services, equipment, treatment and therapies for disabled children and their families across the UK. We also run our Enable Sport programme for talented disabled athletes and our Destination Dreams holiday for children fighting life-threatening conditions.
The Charity Grant Initiativeaims to provide small third-sector grant awards to empower charities and local community projects. This initiative will distribute a one-off grant award of up to £3,000 per charity or to small but credible community projects, which are able to demonstrate their positive impact on the communities they aim to serve. The next deadline for applications is 3rd August 2020.
The Hospital Saturday Fund will consider giving grants to registered medical health charities within the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. These grants will be towards medical capital projects, medical care or research and in support of medical training.
