There are many funding sources which provide support for projects but they open and close throughout the year, often with tight timescales so you really have to be prepared to apply.

Note that some schemes have periods when funding is not available whilst the funder reviews their criteria and target areas, so check out their website or give them a call for the latest position.

The Radcliffe Trust supports the development of the skills, knowledge and experience that underpin the UK’s traditional cultural heritage and crafts sectors. For consideration by the Trustees in December: The Heritage & Crafts scheme deadlines are 31st January and 31st July and the Music scheme deadline are 31st January and 31st August.

The Philip Bates Trust aims to advance the education of young people under the age of 25 in the arts by: The provision of awards to encourage and support their pursuit of creative and artistic achievement. and the provision of financial support to projects or workshops, which aim to develop creative and artistic interests and skills in young people.
