Following the success of the 2016 campaign, and with winter upon us again, the Social Inclusion Partnership has launched Real Change, not Loose Change 2017 to continue this excellent work.
Our target for 2017 is £16,154.
This money will support:
The Night Light Winter Shelter – opening from 1 December to 28 February at church and community locations around the town centre, providing a hot meal, clean bed and breakfast for a full seven days a week to those without homes during these coldest few months of the year. Anticipated cost: £5,000
Camrose 3rd Day – this pilot scheme for those sleeping on the streets has been such a success we are striving to extend this provision into 2018, maintaining the support and services offered to individuals with often very complex needs. Anticipated cost: £4,160
Storage solutions – Julian House provides outreach and practical support to the homeless and vulnerably housed and intends to install storage in town for items belonging to those without homes. Loss, damage and theft of belongings is a significant issue for many with no fixed abode. Anticipated cost: £5,432
The amount of time and resources that go into projects such as these cannot be underestimated and appeals such as this rely on the ongoing generosity and support of local individuals, community organisations and businesses so please help us achieve real change and make a pledge.
How can you help?
