Why not join us as part of our friendly lunchtime team at our Community Hub in Popley. Table Hosts volunteers offer a friendly, welcoming face to our customers which makes them feel comfortable. Our Community Hub opened in April this year and offers the opportunity for older people from our community to meet others and socialise. Our volunteers play a key role in supporting our customers. many of whom experience social isolation and loneliness.
The Community Hub runs on the 1st and 3rd Thursday every month. We offer a variety of snacks and drinks plus a freshly prepared hot lunch and pudding.
As a Table Host, you will be:
• Providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our customers
• Creating a safe space where customers have the opportunity to sit and have a chat
• A friendly face at the table
• Helping to initiate conversations
• Taking meals to the table from the kitchen
• Clearing the table away at the end of lunch
We are looking for people who engage in conversation easily, and who:

✓ Enjoy hosting and initiating conversations
✓ Enjoy working as part of a team

Volunteer Table Hosts start at 11:45am and finish at 1:45pm. The Community Hub runs on the1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. We request a minimum commitment of at least once a month please.
