We are looking for a volunteer to help at the weekly drop-in cafe.
The volunteer will be asked to complete the following tasks:
- set up the refreshments counter
- greet people
- serve refreshments (teas/coffees/other drinks, cakes/biscuits)
- ask people to sign in
- take money (small amounts, usually between £20-£30) and operate card reader
- wash and dry cups/plates/cutlery
- wipe down counters and sink area
- pack and put away refreshments
We would like someone who is friendly and welcoming, and able to organize and serve refreshments.
As we are a Church group, the volunteer will have to go though a Church recruitment process (simply completing a form and attending a short interview). However, the volunteer does not have to be a Church member, can be of any faith or none, and does not have to promote Church activities unrelated to the Cafe.

The Cafe runs on Tuesdays from 10 am to 1 pm. We would ask that the volunteer arrives at least 30 minutes beforehand to set up, and stay until the refreshment area has been tidied and refreshments have been put away. There is a break over Christmas and New Year.
