You will be facilitating a weekly or bi-weekly peer support group for people who are, or have been, struggling with bereavement and who wish to spend time with others in a similar position.

You will ensure a warm welcome for newcomers, introducing them to members and being available to talk quietly with them if appropriate.

What skills do I need?

Volunteers should:

  • Have experience of bereavement
  • Be comfortable talking about death and its consequences
  • Have an appropriate sense of humour
  • Be a team player
  • Be willing to undertake training
