Organisation are now being invited to bid for grant funding from the Department of Education to take on the role of testing the coordination of free holiday provision (including healthy food and enriching activities) for disadvantaged children during the 2019 summer holidays. Hampshire County Council Public Health are keen to support interested organisations to shape their bids.
This is my Space is a new creative arts project that aims to support survivors of domestic abuse, people with a mental health diagnosis or those currently experiencing homelessness. Hosted at Proteus Creation Space every Friday between 12:30 and 14:30, attendees will find a safe and supportive environment to explore and express their thoughts through drawing, painting or creative writing – find out more today.

Today marks the publication of the much anticipated NHS Long Term Plan. It has been drawn up with the expertise and experience of NHS frontline health and care staff, patient groups, VCSE organisations and others as well as a consultation which received around 2,500 submissions from individuals and groups representing the opinions and interests of 3.5 million people.
The Charity Commission has raised “serious concerns” about a decline in the quality of charity accounts, and has called for a “step-change” in trustees’ attitudes to public benefit reporting after discovering nearly half of all charities fail to explain what they do or the impact their work has.
