Action Hampshire are currently recruiting a Project Officer, a key role in their team. They are seeking an engaging, confident communicator for their Communities Against Cancer (CAC) project.
The Project Officer will be the first point of contact for the project and will be assisting community organisations to raise awareness of cancer with the people they support. You will be delivering cancer awareness workshops and promoting the CAC project to the VCSE sector across Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Dorset. You will need to quickly build supportive relationships and engage with community groups and partners in health. You should have an understanding of health inequalities and the barriers some communities experience. They particularly welcome applicants with lived experience and/or who identify as belonging to a community experiencing health inequalities.
This role includes:
- Part time: 22-30 hours depending on the successful candidate
- Temporary 6 month contract with possibility of extension
- Hybrid working (Winchester office/home working)
