BVA are hosting a Fundraisers Forum at their Orchard building on Thursday January 17th commencing at 17:30 and aiming to finish between 19:30 & 20:00.
There will be three guest speakers on the evening:
Grant Cornwell, the CEO of the “Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation“, an independent charitable foundation dedicated to connecting donors with the local causes and charities they care about.
Julian May from “The Good Exchange“, which amongst other things is ‘The only on-line platform with access to grants, donations and fundraising in one place for Charities, Community Interest Companies (CIC), social enterprises and community groups.’
Charlotte Walshe, Head of Charity Partnerships, “In Kind Direct” will also be attending to promote this Charity that distributes new, usable consumer goods, donated by some of the UK’s best known manufacturers and retailers, to charities, CICs and social enterprises working in the UK and abroad. These are products that charities can use in their everyday work which might otherwise go to waste. They currently work with around 150 Charities in Hampshire and you can find out more on their website.
Additionally, a representative of BVA will outline what the organisation can do to aid fundraising efforts for local charities. Discussion on the future aims, structure and purpose of this forum going into the future, including an open forum on grant funding and requirements will be undertaken.
All Charities and Voluntary Organisations are involved with fundraising so hopefully you can send along a suitable representative to contribute to discussions.
