Red-Radish, the catering company specialising in festivals, film and TV, and touring have transformed their usual operations to support efforts to feed thousands of vulnerable people across London and the South of England during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Red Radish team have worked alongside community projects to donate thousands of delicious hot meals to various charities, community groups, rough-sleepers, families, frontline workers, and volunteers across London, Winchester, Basingstoke and the surrounding villages.
Red Radish identified Basingstoke Voluntary Action as the obvious place to come to source some volunteer drivers to help distribute the hundreds of hot meals they were creating every day for the homeless and vulnerable in our area. We were able to respond quickly and secure 4 volunteer drivers for them, helping to ensure a continuous and ongoing service supporting many local residents.
