Community in Action
BVA, in association with the Basingstoke Gazette newspaper, promote local charities, community groups and voluntary organisations through the weekly Community in Action page.
Since starting our association with the Gazette (originally as Charity Corner) we have featured numerous local organisations and the work they do for our community.
The lead article, which appears at the top of the page, should be around 350 words long and be accompanied by a photograph or logo. If you have volunteering opportunities that you are looking to fill then we will include them in the Opportunity of the Week, which is part of the right hand column.
The secondary article is around 200 words with 3 photographs.
The sizes for the images are as follows:
- Lead story: 7.2cm x 12.8cm
- Second article, main pic: 5.8cm x 10cm
- Second article, other two pictures: 6.5cm x 10cm
Photographs should be landscape.
An example of the page can be seen below.
We do take a 4 – 6 week look ahead so, if you are interested in being included for either article and have a specific date in mind e.g. to link up with an Awareness Day or Week, please contact us as early as possible.
If your group is interested in having a slot please contact BVA .
This is a great opportunity and you can link to your website, Facebook and any fundraising initiatives.
