The Camrose Centre
The Camrose Centre is a drop-in service dedicated to providing support and assistance to the homeless, vulnerably housed and socially isolated in Basingstoke and Deane
Currently open between 10am and 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Camrose Centre offers clients breakfast and a hot lunch in a safe welcoming environment, with basic washing facilities, and a variety of essential items including toiletries and towels, clothes and shoes, and rucksacks, tents and sleeping bags for our rough sleeping community.
Our objective is to offer an enabling environment, promoting fulfilling, healthy lifestyles and ongoing support to empower our clients to make lasting positive changes. We regularly have drop ins from other agencies addressing a broad range of matters including financial support, legal and housing advice, family and relationships, alcohol and substance misuse, employment, and emotional wellbeing.
We are fortunate to have an amazing team who manage to cater for up to forty people week in week out on a shoestring. The emphasis is on providing healthy, nourishing meals with limited space and facilities and the team always work hard to achieve this using donations and a budget per session of only £8.
