Leeds Building Society Parkrun Community Reward Scheme

Leeds Building Society know that parkrun plays a huge role in helping people engage with their local communities throughout the UK. Because of that, they want to help improve your local parkrun community through their Community Reward Scheme.

The scheme provides funding and volunteer support to projects that help and improve local parkrun communities. From May 2018, and for the following 12 months, they will provide up to £25,000 to be shared across successful projects. If you’re a UK parkrunner, you can apply for the chance to make a difference to your local parkrun community.

Think of a need in your parkrun community

Identify a project that will have a positive impact on your parkrun community.

For example:

  • £2000 for improvements to your local park, such as playground equipment, seating for spectators or woodland walks.
  • £500 to help with maintaining your park, such as a tidy up or equipment improvements.
  • £1000 to hold celebrations such as parkrun birthdays, milestones or a family-fun day.

You could also speak to other parkrunners to find out what they think would help them

Further details and an online application form are available at the web site.

Please note: Basingstoke Voluntary Action work closely with the local community to raise awareness of grants and also assist with advice and guidance on applications etc. If you apply for this or any other grant, please let us know via email to enable us to understand what is being applied for. Also, if you are in fact successful in receipt of any grant please let us know to enable reporting of such funding locally.
